 Anthony Polvorosa is one of Winnipeg’s best-known fashion stylists, quoted and seen in all of the city’s media sources. The Winnipeg Free Press and the Winnipeg Sun have both referred to Anthony as “Winnipeg’s Style Guru”.
Anthony Polvorosa graduated from George Brown College in Toronto, where he was named “Designer of the Year” in 1998 and one of the seven best graduating designers by the Toronto Design Council. Anthony was then scooped up by MEGA Magazine in Asia, which is renowned for being one of Asia’s best high-end fashion monthly publications. As Director of Image Consultancy, he was their youngest executive, and was personally responsible for styling heads of state, super models, and celebrities from Hong Kong, Bangkok, and throughout The Philippines. He has worked with recognized names such as recording R & B singers Brian McKnight and Julie Black, Supermodel head hunter, Eileen Ford, and Asian supermodel/MTV VJ Sarah Mier.
Returning to Winnipeg after three years overseas, Anthony quickly re-established his presence as a makeup artist. He joined MAC Cosmetics, where he was consistently recognized as a leader in artistry and sales.
Combining his education, knowledge and experience in the fashion and beauty industry, Anthony left MAC to create his own image-consulting firm. PROVICI quickly attracted a loyal following. Anthony has recently styled individuals for print media, live entertainment, and for awards shows such as the Junos and the Grammys. For the business community, Anthony has directed fashion shows, conducted seminars, and given keynote addresses.
Anthony continues to expand his love for creativity by launching PROVICI Cosmetics, a vibrant line of makeup located in the heart of the exchange district at 233 McDermot Avenue.
Anthony’s weekly makeup and style tips segment appears on Shaw TV throughout Western Canada on Tuesday evenings, and Wednesdays before noon. For Shaw, Anthony has reported live from the Red Carpet at the Junos and at the prestigious BC Fashion Week.
